Monte Carlo Parts

The Monte Carlo was introduced in 1970 with a lot of similarities to the Chevrolet Chevelle and as a counterpart to the Pontiac Grand Prix which was released in 1968. The Chevrolet Monte Carlo utilized the A-body platform. You could also get the Monte Carlo in an SS 454 model which included heavy-duty suspension, wider tires, "SS 454" badging, and an automatic load-leveling rear suspension.

Due to a labor strike in Flint, Michigan where the Monte Carlo was to be largely produced, the car fell short of it's 185,000 and sold 145,976 of the model, 3,823 of those being of the SS 454 model.
